Derby Day
Derby Day is an annual day-long fundraising event held on a private ranch in Wilton, just outside of Sacramento. The wide open space is the perfect backdrop for this Kentucky Derby themed event, which includes a hat contest, Weiner Dog Race, horse demonstration, barn tour and new car display. All temporary structures, furnishings, linens and tabletop were supplied by Classic Party Rentals. Equestrian attired servers passed Mint Juleps on round silver trays as guests watched the activities from a ring side seats under market umbrellas. Silent auction items on draped tables were sheltered by canopies. A massive 50’x140’ canopy was installed on rolling terrain next to a private lake. Red linens on round tables were surrounded by natural wood folding chairs with white seat pads. Centerpieces of silver ice buckets with fresh cut red roses set the stage for dinner in the winner’s circle.
