Mariani 100th Anniversary
On a summer day in Vacaville, a 50,000 square foot warehouse received a grand transformation for the 100th Anniversary of Mariani, Premium Dried Fruits. With only 48 hours to install and 10 hours to remove, timing and vendor choreography were key to turning an active shipping and receiving area into a spectacular event site for more than 400 people. Large wooden shipping crates, bearing the Mariani logo, were eyed by the event designer and incorporated into the floor plan. The wooden crates, along with hundreds of feet of pipe and drape, partitioned the space into a cocktail reception area, dining/presentation area, off-site catering kitchen, bus stations, audio visual equipment storage, coat room, and a photo space with bleachers to record the official 100 person family photo of the international gathering. Black Astroturf covered platforms in front of free standing lengths of drape served as display bases for 10 vignettes representing 10 decades of business. Green Astroturf, white fencing and market umbrellas created a pleasant outdoor patio. Classic Party Rentals provided all furnishings, staging, tabletop, linens, ambient and décor lighting. Battery operated pillar candles with glass chimneys were used with fresh floral and fruit in the centerpieces. The event concluded at 10 p.m. and the client was pleasantly surprised to find a clean and empty warehouse at 5 a.m. the next morning.
